PDR is a premium blend of natural terpenes and speciality solvents for the removal of pipe dope from downhole tubulars. Pipe dope is a very viscous blend of an oil with metal soaps and usually contains metal or non-metallic particles. These compounds can cause significant formation damage resulting in reduction of productivity. Efficient removal of pipe dope is essential to avoid contamination of the wellbore, reduce costs, improve productivity, and contributes to the success of the subsequent well operations.
Applications
PDR is designed to by used on its own or as a preflush before pipe pickling. Designed to be used as supplied and pumped to the bottom of the drill string then reverse circulated out. Duration of contact is dependent on downhole conditions. Contact time can be determined with laboratory testing
