Kenny Woods
With degrees in both Geology and Petroleum Geochemistry (MSc), Kenny began his Oil & Gas career in 1994 — gaining significant operational and technical knowledge through engineering and management roles with the likes of Halliburton and Baker Hughes in locations across Europe and Asia. Since the early 2000s, he has successfully managed and accelerated growth of speciality chemical companies — driving strategy, implementing change management and increasing market share and profitability, with safety and ethics at the forefront.

Gordon Davidson
Gordon is a chartered accountant (ICAS) and chartered director (IOD) by qualification and joined the company as part of the management buy-in team in October 2020. He has 30+ years of industrial experience with various companies of various sizes — from SMEs to multinationals — and is responsible for the financial wellbeing of FIS.

Marcus Davidson
Marcus started his career in the industry doing research and development in drilling fluids product development, and went on to manage a R&D group in Aberdeen. Over the years he was worked as an R&D scientist, R&D manager, technical consultant and applications specialist, and he joined us in 2021 to oversee product development and technical support for FIS, spearheading the R&D work we do to develop, improve and formulate products.

Tracey Cronin
Tracey's early career was in key administration roles, progressing to accounts positions and part-qualifying as an accountant. Alongside her role with FIS, she completed a BSc Accounting at Robert Gordon University — graduating in December 2022. With over 20 years of experience in companies of various sizes, she joined FIS in 2019 and plays a pivotal role for us in managing day-to-day accounting, while also supporting the team on HR, IT and office management.

Allen McIntosh
Allen studied Business at college and began his career in manufacturing, eventually becoming Assistant Factory Manager at Initial Textile Services. After a brief stint in the insurance business, he joined FIS as Factory Manager in early 1992. He is responsible for the smooth running of deliveries, purchasing, production and other key operations, and is also our Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA).

Kevin Mands
Kevin began his career in 1994 in offshore oil and gas roles, before transitioning into the oil service sector in an engineering capacity. He worked in sales and operational roles with Oiltools Europe Aberdeen before moving to the Middle East in 2003 as Regional Technical Services Manager with MISWACO. A few years on, he moved to East Asia — working for NOV Wellsite Services as Country Manager (Malaysia) and a succession of senior regional leadership roles, that gave him a significant experience in operations, business strategy and manufacturing across a number of countries. In recent years he has worked in the renewables/biogas sector, and arrived at FIS in May 2022 to help expand the business' global footprint and develop new opportunities for growth.

Our Investors
FIS Chemicals' ongoing growth and development as a business is made possible thanks to the support of Foresight Group and Maven Capital Partners — whose joint investment was pivotal to our management buy-in in 2020.
With an proven management team in place and sustained backing from Foresight and Maven, FIS will continue to supply quality products to a wide customer base and new technology and solutions to the global market.

Industry-Leading Standards
FIS Chemicals' management system, health and safety and environmental management have been rigorously inspected and accredited, and the business is one of very few chemicals companies in Scotland to be awarded the Carbon Trust Standard.
