Marine Air Cool Cleaner (AICOCL)
Description
Air Cooler Cleaner is designed for the cleaning of the air coolers of diesel engines. Air cooler cleaner is a solvent-based degreaser with surfactants to remove loosely adhered carbon deposits and organic contamination.
Application
Air cooler cleaner is designed to be applied in an immersion bath or, where facilities exist, in a circulating system.
Immersion: Immerse in a tank of the product. Heat the product to 30°C and agitate with an airline.
After two hours, drain off, flush well with water and dry with an air-line.
Circulation: If the cooler allows in situ cleaning, the system should be filled with Air Cooler
Cleaner, and circulated for 20 hours at 25 - 30°C. After cleaning, the cooler must be thoroughly
flushed with fresh water and dried with an air-line.
Cleaning times will depend on the temperature and degree of contamination. Water should be added if the emulsion becomes too thick to circulate.
Dilutions
For immersion cleaning the product should be used neat. For in-situ cleaning a dilution of 2 parts water to one part product is recommended.
Environmental
Dispose of chemicals in accordance with local environmental legislation.
Handling
Normal precautions should be taken for handling chemicals. Protective clothing, eye protection and gloves should be worn. For further details please refer to the safety data sheet.
