DTPA
DTPA (Diethylene Triamine Pentaacetic Acid, Pentapotassium Salt) is a chelating agent that can be used to control metal ions in water-based systems. It is effective for controlling water hardness ions as well as for cleaning surfaces, descaling boilers, processing textiles and preventing scale formation. DTPA is sodium free, high purity aqueous solution at 40% active.
Application
At a pH of 11 it is effective at dissolving barium sulphate and calcium carbonate. At a lower pH of about 3-4 it is effective at removing rust from ferrous alloys and steel.

Dispose of chemicals in accordance with local environmental legislation, local environment registrations.
Handling
