American Made: FIS Supporting Clients in North and Latin America
FIS recently established a manufacturing capability in Houston, Texas — a move that now helps us deliver efficient Smarter Chemistry for our clients across the Americas.
In February 2024, FIS Chief Executive Officer Kenny Woods and International BD Director Kevin Mands visited the global energy hub of Houston, Texas to connect with an array of new and established clients. During the trip, they visited our recently established manufacturing facility, met the team and inspected the impressive facilities.
This move is a key piece in a wider international expansion strategy that now offers FIS customers in regions like the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) and Latin America (LATAM) better access to an ever-expanding range of specialist chemical products.
With US-based manufacturing now in operation, FIS clients across the Americas can order at a bulk supply level, offering economy, convenience and savings on packaging costs — and also heavily reducing carbon emissions that would otherwise be required on shipping from our North Sea manufacturing facilities in Scotland.

Our US capability commenced the manufacturing of FIS products for clients in late 2023 and has already helped us be closer to our key customers in the region — supporting their operations and upcoming projects, without the supply chain issues that sometimes prove challenging for inter-continental supplier-client relationships.
It has allowed FIS to provide swifter response to specific client challenges and formulate solutions that will keep work moving and have significant asset integrity benefits, while also offering more environmentally-friendly options that can contribute to our clients’ Net Zero aspirations.
