FIS Golf Day 2024
In August, we were delighted to host a brilliant Golf Day with clients, contacts and friends, raising important funds for a very good cause.
Meldrum House Hotel & Golf Course was the venue for FIS Chemicals' summer Golf Day, welcoming an array of familiar faces to this beautiful golf course for a great day of play and relaxed networking. With the weather forecast closely monitored on a daily basis in the days leading up to the event, we were relieved to have (mostly) fair weather for golf — with only the occasional shower of rain, which never ran the risk of dampening our spirits.
As trusted manufacturer and supplier of industrial chemicals for a wide selection of industries and sectors, we're fortunate to have a broad network of people to invite to such things, and we hugely appreciated the turnout on the day — at which we were also raising money for the brilliant North East Scotland charity, AberNecessities.
From the pre-round refreshments to the very last putt, it was a great day to be out and plenty of opportunities for new connections, reuniting with old friends and enjoying a bit of good-natured banter between players and groups.
There was fun to be had for a few non-golfers among the FIS team too, with important 'caddying' work being done — including 'brolly duty' and preparing and delivering on-the-go refreshments to players out on the course. It's safe to say that this level of service was appreciated by all who played.
On the course, our teams were mixed up to ensure balanced handicaps and it was an enjoyable day for golfers of all abilities and experience.
As well as bringing together valued clients, friends and staff, the FIS Chemicals Golf Day's fundraising cause was of equal importance — and we're proud to support the vital work of our chosen charity, AberNecessities.
AberNecessities provides disadvantaged families with the essential and basic necessities that no child should go without. From maternity bundles for mother and baby to nappies, formula milk, clothing, toys and equipment for children aged 0-18 years.
The FIS Chemicals Golf Day 2024 raised a brilliant £800 for AberNecessities — huge thanks to all who contributed to this total.
